A Woman’s Brew Podcast follows the ‘beer-ventures’ of two beer-loving women – Joanne Love & Tori Powell – on their mission to get more people drinking and talking about great craft beers. The duo look to infuse equal parts education, playfulness, and story-telling with a dash of chaos across their episodes with the aim to make the craft beer hobby more fun and approachable for all – made by women for everyone! Tori and Joanne are both UK based, but weave in their US connections with their love of travel to bring you – dear listeners – stories from across the industry and across the globe. Since trying the Light Nights foraged grisette, Tori wanted to find out more about foraging. We are lucky enough to chat to Red from First & Last Brewery to learn more about the process of foraging, how you can join in and how to sustainably managing collecting nature’s bounty.

We celebrate a belated Oktoberfest with Maz and Floz from Time At The Bar Podcast which specialises in beer history. We take a look at the popular beer styles drunk at Oktoberfest – Marzen and Festbier – and how you can tell them apart. Then with Time At The Bar Pod’s expert research skills we look at women in relation to Oktoberfest. Why is the dirndl the recognised dress at the festival? What is it like to be a waitress in the tents? And how has Oktoberfest been leading the way with festival safety? Oh! And can you guess the now traditional song played at the end of the festival? You are never going to get it!
