A Woman’s Brew Podcast follows the ‘beer-ventures’ of two beer-loving women – Joanne Love & Tori Powell – on their mission to get more people drinking and talking about great craft beers. The duo look to infuse equal parts education, playfulness, and story-telling with a dash of chaos across their episodes with the aim to make the craft beer hobby more fun and approachable for all – made by women for everyone! Tori and Joanne are both UK based, but weave in their US connections with their love of travel to bring you – dear listeners – stories from across the industry and across the globe. There’s been talk recently about ingredients in beer and if here, in the UK we should restrict what can go in a beverage called beer. Here at A Woman’s Brew we say why stifle creativity?! So, we bring you some beers that use interesting or even unique ingredients.
Some of these beers we’ve been sitting on for a little bit, so they may be difficult to get hold of if you want to try them – soz! But hopefully we inspire you to go try some beers made from interesting things.

We are delighted to have Kelly from Good Chemistry back on the podcast this week, chatting about their new beer All Welcome. The beer was brewed to celebrate the 2nd birthday of She Drinks Beer – a regular night at the pub for women who enjoy beer. To mark the occasion, Kelly and the team at Good Chemistry welcomed women from the Bristol hospitality scene to the brewery to brew a delicious pale ale.
We chat to Kelly about the brew day and why She Drinks Beer is such an important event. Through these events held at Good Chem’s pubs The Good Measure and The Kings Head, not only do people get to socialise in a welcoming environment, they also get to learn about the beverage they love. Stouts – for some they are a seasonal indulgence and others they are an all year round affair. But often you will hear in the craft beer community cries of ‘it’s too thin!’ or ‘this would be better if it was barrel aged!’ We are here to challenge this misinformation – session stouts are a thing and they can be just as flavourful as your 15% syrup thick beers!
There is always a time and place for imperial stouts, but what about your oatmeal, dry irish, milk and export stouts? We try 4 different stouts all under 5.5% and see if we can get the same luxurious experience we would get with an imperial (spoiler – we do!)

Have you liked & subscribed?! We were given the unique opportunity by our friends at Unbarred to collaborate on a beer. Now, that doesn’t sound too unique, as you know we’ve done that before. However, this time we were collaborating with other content creators as well as a brewery!
